Generator control board, LXi
Hi David,
The autostart generator in my LXi works on either "Low AC / Low Battery" or on "No AC". I was under the impression that the outlet served as a AC voltage sense point too. Therefore, if it was on the inverter, it would not sense that the shore power was out. I'll have to get into the circuit to actually see whats up. It is one of those things that has always worked and I've never had to check. Yours, being newer, may be different but if mine starts on "no AC", it will run until AC is restored. If starting because of low batteries, it will run 2 hours and check again. 2 more will be added if batteries are still low. I've never had a situation where it started because of "Low AC Voltage" and only believe it does because of conversations with the factory. One other note; the Radio Shack power supply on mine is an adjustable output voltage model. Was yours? Did it somehow get set to the wrong voltage for the board? Rich D.
