Jeep Toad
Your Mechanic may be thinking of the 1980 to 1986 CJ7 with the Dana
300 transfer case, which is a gear driven, Iron case & very strong.. I think your YJ has the 241 aluminum T-Case wuth the chain drive. Just put these in Neutral, and tow away. I installed a Warn Floating rear axel kit in my CJ, with Lockout hubs. When I tow, all 4 wheels roll merrely along.. I also removed the steering wheel lock in the colum, so I dont have to remember about that... You might change out that Posi-thing with a real locker, such as a LockRite, Detroit or ARB... They do not wear out! check www dot jeepboard dot com Great site & mucho info on Jeeps' Jack Smith 1973FC31 SoCal ============================================================= --- In WanderlodgeForum@yahoogroups.com, dspithaler@a... wrote: > Has anyone heard of not being good to tow a 2000 Jeep Wrangler with a > posi-track rear end 4 down?
