old heat tape on pipes
Hi Ernie and group,

Last winter every time I opened the little door under my vanity in the
bathroom to thaw out the pipes running back to the galley, I said "hmmm I
wonder
there is a way to get that old heat tape out and put new heat tape on,"
because when it got below 20 degrees, that pipe would solidify. It never froze
solid but would not flow, from the galley to the wash basin where the heat tape
ended. My heat tape has never worked, and whereas it is between the shower
wall, behind the ice maker and stove, it is going to be about impossible to
get out; UNLESS, one removed the stove, and the ice maker, then most of it
would be accessible, at least in a 33 footer. Might be more of a run for you.
My solution (famous last words) is NOT be anywhere again where the
temperature drops below 20 degrees.

Head south m'friend.

Regards to the group, hopefully will be leaving Cincinnati soon, heading for
Charleston and Savannah, wintering for the most part at Charleston AFB, then
out to Yuma and across the border to have the coach painted, on to HWH to
have jack maintenance, and I think up to Idaho, for a summer of fly fishing
until my arm falls off.
