Advice re Air System
David,
Have a friend to help let him press the brake while you listen at the wheels to try and isolate where the leak is. Since you only hear the leak when you depress the brake pedal it sounds like it would be at the wheel area. I have since been cleaning up the debris in my yard and discarding all the ruined food which resulted from an extended power outage and I have not taken any time to start research on the air problem. Any advice would be appreciated regarding the following symptoms. Background: The coach was in a storage building but the system and suspension were aired up due to my having left the aux air compressor on in preparation for a possible evacuation. The morning following the storm I planned to move the coach to my house to take advantage of the generator and AC. When I started the engine the system showed to be fully pressurized Symptoms: 1) When I depressed the brake pedal for the first time, I heard sounds associated with a large volume of escaping air. 2) The suspension will not dump and the step will not retrack. 3) The Low Air Pressure Alarm will sound after I pump the brake pedal for a few times. 4) I can not hear any obvious air leaks under the coach after the system airs up enough (minimum pressure) for the low air pressure alarm to quit sounding and the aux air compressor is running to provide additional pressure. 5) The suspension is not leaking down with (the aux air compressor is turned off) for a couple of days now. Thanks in advance.
