Hi Liz:

As in everything, dust can cause you problems there as well. Try blowing
into the sensor area to clear the dust out and see what happens. Failing
that the sensor may need replacing. I am taking for granted that your
sensor unit is the grey one? There should also be a reset button on it,
some do some don't have that option. Replacing the unit is no big deal
either, really, 3 butt connectors and crimp pliers. I have had to replace 2
lately.
