Fuel Filter & Pump

Hi Don,

I think we have the same 300 hp Cat. in our 88 FC.
No hand pump, The Facet electric fuel pump at the rear fuel tank is
energized by an oil pressure switch. The switch is located at the
oil filters at a T connection with the oil pressure sensor switch.
I turn the ignition switch to ON, then jumper this fuel pump switch.
Screw on the fuel filter, keep it loose and wait until the fuel
fills the filter and spills over . Then tighten the fuel filter.
The Cat will then start, no need to bleed fuel at the injectors.

I think the Facet fuel pump also runs with the Onan.
But I have not used this method to fill the Cat fuel filter,
The Onan is to noisey in the rear to hear the Facet pump chatter.

Fuel is at least filtered by the Racor, This works for me.
