basement door strut part number
Jay,
I did a quick search on the archives and here are some relevant posts:

Subj: gas struts - help w/ part numbers & source

I located my receipt for the struts.
H9412-35, gas prop - 35 lb (I used these for inside overhead
cabinets), $10.05 each (ordered March 2002).

FBN12G, Gas spring - 90 lb (I used for outside compartments. "Very
Strong" spring, consider replacing in pairs to avoid chancing
warping the door. If they have a lighter pound spring consider
it.) $22.55 each, in March 2002.

Free catalog, part no MH2000/20 .

Subj: Orr & Orr Door Strut Part Numbers

>From Orr & Orr I used the 35lb strut inside (H9412-35) and the 80lb strut
outside (FBN12E). On the inside units, there's a metal retaining clip that
you have to pry out to release the old strut (new ones pop right in).
On the
outside struts, you can just twist off the old old ones, and pop the new
ones in place. Try to prop open the door with some wood so you don't
have to
hold the door on your head while you try to wrestle the new strut into
place. A paint stirring stick works good for the inside doors; a 2X4
for the
outside doors.

Jay, I have an 86PT40, but have that side door. I don't have the
Stabilus number but the number on my struts is SPO-5200-60A from
Service Parts Distributors, Inc., Bensalen, PA 19020 215.639.7810.
This info is as old as my coach, so it may not be good anymore.
Good luck,
John Ely, San Jose, CA 86PT40
