genset tray
A question for John and anyone else that might know.

It appears from the pictures of your radiator upgrade that the oil pan of the
Perkins sets above the slide out tray, Is this correct? On my bird the tray has
been cut to allow the oil pan to set below that tray and the isolation springs
boIt thru the tray. believe that to be the reason the tray buckled in the
center.Has any one had this issue and is there a possibility to remanufacture
and raise the genset to eliminate this weakness?

I forgot to answer the temperature question from Randy, although it
is cool here this morning and hasen't gotten into the 70's since I
have been here, the temperatures have been similar to what I had
experienced with the original configuration, right now it is 55
degrees outside and under load the temperature is running at 170
degrees, the highest the temperature has gone is 175 degrees so far.
Randy wired the fan speed the same as what his genset fan speed was
wired at on his 'Bird. I don't think that temperature will be an
issue, as I can wire the fan to run at three different speeds and I
believe that it is currently wired at the middle speed.
