oil leak
In that area, I would guess power steering fluid. Check the hydraulic line
running from the pump to the steering column at the steering column end. It
is hard to see/find. You will need a flashlight. Once you have found it,
then from memory run your skinny arm up the line to discover dampness on the
outside of the line, or not.
