Amount/kind of lube in rear differential?
Henry, on ours there is also a plug on the front side of the pumkin,
I'm not sure why? We used the top hole to fill and the one just higher than the axle as the full mark, not sure it was right but when I asked last summer but I didn't get a clear answer. We used sinthetic, about 5 gallons. Hopefully someone else can give a clearer answer, but this is what we did and had no problems so far. Am I correct in assuming that the lube is low? (2) What type lube should I use to refill? (3) There was a second plug, located lower, which I assume is the drain plug. Should I drain the lube before adding more? Thanks. Henry@H... 1979 FC 35, McAllen, Tx. > |
