Stolen from storage area

When we sold our home 3 years ago, the stuff we didn't give away was
stored with the intent to sell it on Ebay along with our 94 Tracker.
We chose a storage facility that had an on-site manager, barbed wire,
camera's all around, coded access. We rented a garage that we could
store all the stuff as well as the Tracker in. I put a $50 Abloy
padlock on that is supposed to be tamperproof.
Went back a month later to put tabs on the Tracker and found the
Tracker gone, lock gone and everything we had stored gone.
Manager said they weren't liable and if I didn't like the way the
place was run, we could just leave..I was so pissed asked him to step
outside and "visit" with me around the side of the building..his wife
said she would call the police..I said do it as I was going to file
anyway.
Fast forward, one month later the Tracker was spotted in a nearby
town...cops followed it and were lead to a meth house where the tow
bar was laying next to a fence and 5 other stolen cars were stored.
Moral...take pics of everything you have in storage, get storage
insurance and don't assume the space you rented is secure.
