Net Carrying Capacity
Michael,
When I bought my 91WLWB40, I weighed it at a Cat Scale on my way homethat showed Steering axle - 12300 lbs, Drive axle - 19480 lbs., and tag axle - 9320 lbs (with 65lbs, of air pressure)for a total of 41,100. Now, I hate to admit it after years of computing weight and balance daily in aircraft, but I did NOT note the fuel level when we crosssed the scale! I have asked myself the same question - what were you thinking?? Too excited about the new bird! I had just sold my '78FC31 with 181,000 miles of 65 mph and was impressed with how fast and quiet my new pusher was!! Hope these numbers help.....gotta go weigh it again, so I can set the tire air pressures correctly. Bob & Judy Johannesen 91WLWB40 "Seldom Blue" but often dirty! Argyle, Texas, 78 degrees this week and very dry! Anyone know what the Net Carrying Capacity (GVWR-UVW) of these coaches is. Has anyone weighed their 91-95 PT40 with full fuel? The large fuel tank (300 gals) really increases the weight when filled.
