Up date on the Craig's Coach

Up date on the Craig's Coach
Sorry.

The DDEC is Detroit Diesel Electronic Control

Most (if not all) '88 WLWB coaches had the DDEC1 (1st generation)
In MY'89 BlueBird went to the DDECII, easier to find parts/service.
I'm not sure how many '89s have DDEC1, I've heard of at least one.

Your '93 does have the DDEC system, also Allison Transmission
Electronic Control was installed beginning in '86 I believe (ATEC),
the two "talk" to optimize shifting etc. in the coaches with the
electronic engine and transmission.

The DDEC has the capability to output historical information on later
coaches. If you're considering buying one you can run it to a DD
dealer and have it interrogated to find things such as warning
condition events, driving style (number of max. braking events, top
speed and average speed, etc.) horsepower/torque settings (can be
changed for enough $$ on S-60 engines) etc.

Call a DD dealer and they should be able to tell you over the phone
what historical data can be downloaded from your year and for how
much $$. I'm not sure where the connector is on a '93, Randy Dupree
is one owner who likely knows though.
