Up date on the Craig's Coach
Brian,
Another idea...when I bought my 91WLWB40, I called customer service at Detroit with the serial numbers (of the engine and DDECII computer) and asked them about any warranty work that was done on my engine during the warranty period. They told me about several small things (crank sensors, etc.) and that the entire DDECII computer had been replaced. The last time I had it worked on they updated the software from version 84 to 154 (I think). I don't know the current version. You might get some more history there. William Jensen Brian: As Bob and Jeff had mentioned, The connectors for the computer for the engine and tranny are on the left side of the dash. In my 93, you have to remove the panel where the mirror/temp/rear camera controls are located. You can also remove the panel where the shifter controls are too. I just find it easier to remove the bottom panel. Have even toyed with the idea of putting a hole in the side panel to have better access to the connectors. I have my engine serviced at a Detroit Diesel/ Allison shop and get the print out after their service. Just good info to have. Your thoughts on getting the history of the engine by doing this are right on. Best of luck with your new coach.
