Toad braking system
Hi Donna & Jack
We have used a Brake Buddy in both of the Jeeps we have towed.
I purchased it in 2001,so it's a few years old.as far as fitting the seat,I
had to make a riser for it to fit in the Liberty as the front of the seat is
higher than the Grand Cherokee.
If you get an older one in a square metal box like mine, you will most
likely have to raise it up from the floorboard too.The later "aerodynamic"
design have more adjustment for the bar to match the front of the seat.
The R& R of the unit is merely plugging/unplugging the power source and
attaching/removing the clamp from the brake pedal and pulling it out of the
Jeep.
The unit has an adjustment for sensitivity which will be ideal for standard
brakes.
Factory support is very good also.If you get a used one without the
paperwork or manual,I can copy mine for you.
The Sunday paper from Phoenix had a used one in an ad for $400.00 firm.
Good price nowdays.
Leaving for Willcox Friday.
