Thanks and yes it is beautiful here. I live by the river not the ocean just outside of Vancouver proper and look out my front window and watch tug boats hauling log booms and other things past my place. Sometimes they tie up the logs out front. It is neat as there is always something going on and no street or traffic noise in front of my place. Just a boardwalk that is lit up beautifully at night. I will see if I can find a pic. Love it. It is no blueberry farm but it does me fine. I have a little get away place too like you.

Chinese New Year was last weekend and marks the end of the lunar calendar year. As they say here Gung Hei Fat Choi or Happy New Year. Not Gung Ho Fat Boy which is what they sometimes say when they see me! This is now the year of the snake. I was born in the year of the tiger so that makes me a tiger but heck... we all knew that!


I am not sure if it is any special crab season or not. We have Dungeoness Crabs here that we are famous for and of course Geoduck clams. Huge phalic like clams that only grow off the Pacific coast I believe. Lots of them go to Asia and they are considered a delicacy. Google a geoduck clam and you will see what I mean. Lots of people don't know about them.
