Removing backup monitor
My backup monitor appears to be the original monitor. I have replaced
the backup camera and it works great WHEN the monitor works. When I hit a bump in the road the monitor goes fuzzy and/or goes out. I bang on the dash and it comes on again. I assume there is a loose connection somewhere, but I can't seem to figure out how to get to the back of the monitor. I removed the plastic cover and there are 4 hex head screws on the face of the monitor. One screw is covered by a corner block for the screw of the plastic dash cover. I looked underneath through the CB compartment and there is a big aluminum Z bracket that supports the monitor. Again, some of the screws are exposed but at the other end of the Z they are buried. All I want to do is reseat the connections and things should be good. Any ideas? Brian Gatley 93 WLWB PT40 Bend, OR [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] |
