Moisture in Storage bays
Thank you Jim for the suggestion.
However, we are in what they call the "High Desert" and average 11-13" of rain a year. We are usually pretty dry. This was just a rain shower that clearly leaked into the storage bays from somewhere. Also, it isn't just one spot, but several through out the storage area and it gives me the impression that it is coming in from the doors or from somewhere else. They're available at marine shops and other outlets. We keep the spare parts in plastic storage containers to keep them dry. Since you're in the normally soggy and currently waterlogged Pacific Northwest, you're likely to have problems not common to those of us in less humid climates. Perhaps someone with a more comparable model year and exposure to your climate will have some suggestions based on their experiences. It appears you're undergoing your baptism by fire in the love-hate 'Bird owners' experience. Good luck!
