I gotta respond to this. I sell guns and sometimes carry one. I have one
in my car with me at all times. Richie chapman may very well not be among
the living had he not drawn and fired his pistol. That's what we carry one
for. I would much rather deal with the lawyers than the undertaker. I
believe in my God given right to defend my life and the life of another from
attack. It is very much a personal decision each of us can make. I think
all the states but not all cities permit a person to have a firearm in their
home. A motor home is a home but is also a motor vehicle. I don't know
what the risk is here. If I carried in a motorhome I would look into this.
I carry in a trailer and that may be an advantage. A 9mm with good hollow
point ammunition works about as well as a 45APC or 40Smith-Wesson. I very
much agree with those who advocate educating yourself about gun use. There
are lots of good books and some good self defense schools. Most would tell
you that your frame of mind is important. Don't carry just to feel good.
Tactics are more important than the weapon. Be safe.

The use of a firearm against an attacker will make a real mess out of your
life for awhile. Non use of a firearm may end your life or it may not but
it does give you some control over what happens. The very best defense is
to avoid the danger. Go to some place known to be safe.
