updateing a Foward Control Bird
Around '87 they became available with lighter laminate and walls, an
example is our '88:

Others have been updated with lighter fabrics etc., I've had a couple
and seen a few more. Changing the colors of the dash and vinyl is
fairly easy:

The countertops and laminate walls will be a bit more expense. One
option is to cover the laminate walls with wallpaper, I much prefer
this method to painting it, it is difficult to apply paint to laminate
and have it stick (until you get into very toxic processes).
