Ernie, if you have to replace the entire mold assembly, e-mail me and I'll give
you the address of a good source (I believe mine was about $155.00).

There is no fuse so to speak. There is an over temp sensor on the
compressor, BUT, the ice maker may not have fully completed the last cycle.
Look at the fingers, they should be pointed straight up. Try removing the
front cap off the mold unit. There you will see 2 gears. The smaller should
have a hex type landing area, take a small crescent wrench and turn that
hex on the small gear so that the finger start to move down clockwise. You
should hear a micro switch click and the compressor and fan should come on.
If not, run the fingers clockwise until they point straight up and then
move slightly past that and the compressor should come on. I am assuming
that you have checked the circuit breaker in the main panel. Remove the
lower front grill and check to be sure the condenser coil is not plug up.

If the compressor comes on and the ice maker cycles one time and stops
again then the motor has gone weak usually caused by dragging of the
fingers. At that time is when I replace the mold unit. There is a
thermostat in the back of the ice maker, You have to remove it and remove
the back panel to make voltage checks. Caution, there will 110 vac present
there.
