Sporlan Water Valve- Changeout
My valve was not clogged, or full of anything. I took it apart before I knew
I had problems, because it was leaking(the big o-ring) I went to the local hardware store, and got a new o-ring.. Well it does not leak, but it does not stop water from flowing either. The rubber disc was clean, and soft.. but I guess it has sit up dry for a long time, and the top rubber does not seal the hole anymore??.. I guess I need a rebuild kit. When I go outside and move the "tank Fill" switch on/off, I hear a clicking sound inside.. I assume the solenoid is trying to open/close. and it is getting power. What cha think? Mine was between walls that support the bed and keep the water tank in place. A space about 12 inches by 24 inches, filled with plumbing. Lifted the mattress and supported it, removed the mattress platform, and stuck my head in under the mattress and cussed the whole time. About a half hour job. It would take all day if I had to R&R the valve body. Curt Sprenger 1987 PT38, Anaheim Hills, Calif.
