cruise control

Anyone have any idea when a 1983 fc-35 should bump into the next gear on level
ground. Since it appears my transmission conrtol was diconnected I will try to
figure out when to make it shift from 1 to 2, 2 to3 and 3 to 4

Thanks for all the information. I wish mine had Air cruise and throttle,but I
have to work with what I have
