A dirty fuel filter can cut into your power. Replace it to test. Same with the
air filter. These buses are low on power and I'm not familiar enough with your
route to know if your experience was normal. I was down to about 28mph climbing
Raton Pass a few weeks ago but that is that about 9000 ft so there's a lot less
power at that altitude. I have the 210 hp NA with an aftermarket turbo. You
may be in a situation in which the gear ratio in your bus is taller because of
the turbo but the 15 hp difference that the turbo makes is not enough to deal
with the taller gears. More experienced voices need to address that.
