>Last Fall the wife and I were touring the Southeast on a 2 week
>business trip and the generator quit working in Georgia.
> There aren't enough windows you can open to cool off a Blue Bird
>on a hot day! We still had AC with a hookup, but the shore cord was
>too short for traveling...
> We went to evening/early morning travel times and gutted it out
>back to Nebraska.
> Most agree on the forums that repairs weren't the best idea for a
>25 year old generator, so I started saving up money for the 12 grand
>replacement and did without a generator over the winter months.
> My wife started nagging me about fixing the darn thing before we
>took steps to replace it. "What if it's some little thing?" she said.
> So, I called Ralph Fullenwider for advice on what to check. Most
>of the wires and connections he told me to check I'd already done

>either the voltage regulator or some very expensive repairs.
> I asked Ralph to get the regulator for me and add on a few
>hundred bucks for his time and knowledge, which I've found to be of
>tremendous value.
> I installed the regulator and it FIXED THE GENERATOR! Woooohooo!
> We just made a quick weekend trip to Ft Worth to see the wife's
>family and ran the generator for 4 days straight with no shutdown,
>since the coolest day on the road was 96 degrees.
> It only used about a half gallon an hour during the trip and I'm
>a very happy guy.

> His number is listed under Contacts in the Database.
> Thanks, Ralph and thanks to many other members here on the Forum.
> I'd be in a lot of trouble with my Bird without all you people.
