Air Bag Replacement
I replaced the front air bags on our FC shortly after we bought it. It was a
pretty dirty job
but not terribly difficult. Getting them unbolted from the frame was tedious
since they
have long bolts with self locking nuts and not much room to turn them in. Also
had to
disassemble part of the exhaust system to get the driver side bag out. SP
configuration
would be different on exhaust and probably not a problem. Definitely not
something I
would attempt on the side of the road. Job would be easier if working over a
grease pit
rather than on your back as I did.

I was later told, by Wanderlodge technical support at a RIV,that it's OK if you
see some
cracks in the outer rubber covering of the bags and it doesn't mean they need to
be
replaced. Bad sign is seeing inner fabric layer. When you see that, it's time
to replace.
