Could you patch it? You might be able to get a plug to hold 'till you
get to a service center, I wouldn't bet my vacation on it though.

The DOT won't allow patches in tire sidewalls, because they're designed
to flex and a hole is a stress riser (among other reasons I'd imagine).
The entire airbag is a sidewall, constantly flexing.

A hole in a tire is usually a good tire which has been punctured by a
road hazard, a hole in an airbag is usually the beginning of a failure
of an old airbag. Air doesn't puncture bags, but it will escape through
a failure point. I'd expect a hole to fairly soon turn into a larger
hole or a tear.

Replace it.
