Tom,
I know I am hard to convince... I do not normally drive this route through MD, I
usually go down rte 13 to the Chesapeake Bridge tunnel... I do not know what
others do, but I read every sign on the road and if it says to go through the
scales, I go through the scales, I do not need to be stopped for not following
the rules, whether you think I should just go past them or not... I am just
relaying my experience and not trying to make others do what I do... I did not
know if they had changed the rules on the scales or not, so I was just keeping
things on the up and up...

Larry you are a tough fellow to convince that weighing stations in

every state are monitoring for compliance with the Federal Department

of Transportation (DOT) and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations

(FMCSR) codes. It applies to ONLY commercial vehicles that are for

hire........ .period.

If you are worried about Maryland weigh stations you can read to your

hearts content here and you find absolutely nothing about motorhomes

or any other non commercial vehicle having to utilize these weigh stations.

http://www.sha. state.md. us/businesswiths ha/trucking/ oots/truckweista
/truckweista. asp

Then read

this:

http://www.sha. state.md. us/businesswiths ha/trucking/ oots/truckweista
/MotorCarrierHan dbook.pdf

Now if you want to continue to worry about Maryland weigh

stations.guess you can. I chose to drive by them all and have for years.
