Generator won't shut down - gen. set slide out

Just bought a 82 35FC. I have several issues most of them small. At
this time I am dealing with a perkins 12.5 gen. set that will not shut
down from inside the coach, starts fine, it will shut down from the
outside. Is this shut down with a fuel flow solenoid, if so is it
shut down from outside through the same solenoid? Where is this
solenoid located?

Slide issue. The slide is slow and sometimes will not extend, makes
it difficult to shut her down then . Could this be a solenoid also
or maybe an air problem, it is a air slide system.
