> I like the shot of Blue thunder by some bridge. cool how the bus is in focus but everythig else is less than true focus. It would be fun to learn how to do those things with a camera.

Greg, that was actually done in the
computer. You can do it with a camera by purposely creating a very narrow depth
of field (as long as it isn't too bright of a day). With a full manual mode
camera (even a digital), you just select a large aperture with a short shutter
speed (as apposed to a small aperture with a slow shutter speed that would
equal the exposure), and you can get an effect where say, only items 30 ft
front and back of what you're focused on is in focus and all else is not. But
this pict that Don took was all in focus and I just did that in Picasa. `Used
to be you had to buy Adobe Photoshop and spend a lot of time learning it to do
that, but now you can download and install Picasa for free, and do a lot of
cool stuff like that in a few clicks. Try it out www.google.com/picasa , then send me some picts and captions, and
let's start a bbzoom album for you!
