Since I sold my 73FC31 Wanderlodge, (well, traded it for a Harley) I have been looking for something a bit smaller and simpler (GMC ?).

So, in Craigslist I noted a "Bluebird Gladiator".

Turns out that, in 1970, Bluebird, in Fort Valley, built some 20 units. They are very recognisable as a Bluebird, but just 22ft long, and on a Dodge truck chassis, 413 Dodge engine, 727 Tranny, and 8 lug wheels, duals in back. Front engine and rear wheel drive, of course.

No basment storage, but the usual Generator compartment and utlity stuff bins.

Inside is a dinette just in back of drivers seat, side bath/shower, and closets. In the rear, there is a full width couch that makes into a bed. Passenger side has usual entry door, kitchen and closets.

I would love to have the coach, and probably it is ok mechanically, but the interior needs work, and the outside could use a paint job. This Coach requires a bit more work than I care take on, but I am still looking for a GMC or similar, fun coach.

The owner has a number of unusal, vintage, Coaches, (Cortez, Revcon, and similar), with the idea of renting them out, but the Insurance problems put a hold that plan.

I just though you might find this interesting.

Have a great New Year.
