Bird of the Week

Hi Dick, thanks for the compliments. My coach is nasty, though after driving 200 miles in the rain last week. Maybe when the weather gets better, I can clean her up and admire Shanes efforts.

Mike, its not an UPGRADE to go from a bird to a bird. no matter the
cost or vintage you alway 'give up' and 'gain' with every lateral
shift.

HI Mario:

Thank you Mario, and thank you Mike for putting Ruff Diamond on the home
page. We recently added the lettering on our Coach that was provided by a
friend in the Lone Star Birds.

I had found that a PO had installed a swing radiator kit and that many
items were fresh like the 3208 250 hp CAT and radiator core and the Allison
had been rebuilt. She truly fits the name. Having rebuilt the injector pump
and injectors on the 12.5 KW gen set, she gives uninterrupted service and
overall, turning into quite the Lady.

Safe travels,

Ralph and Charolette Fullenwider

This week's Bird of the Week shows a neat garage accessory for working
on these big Birds!

With the bad weather all around the country, there should be some
interesting pictures of Birds traveling. As I am in need of new Bird
of the Week pictures, please send them in using the link under the
Bird of the Week feature on the front page of the forum.

Thanks,

Mike, I know those jacks are safe. But the picture shows a starboard lean to that coach, in my old eyes. Ernie- 83PT40 just north of you

I suspect the "starboard lean" is an optical artifact due to the camera angle. However, when CCW raised my coach on a similar jack system in Riverside, it was difficult to watch... (I was some distance away... but it was still scary seeing my coach rising from the ground.)

I asked Bim Burt about the lean. He had his coach at Prevost car and said the jacks activate simultaneously. Ernie-83PT40 in Texas
