The generator slide tray is malfunctioning on my coach. If the
locking mechanism is disengaged and the coach aired up, it pushes out the generator. Neither the key switch on the slide door or the switch by the steps makes any difference. I assume there is an air/electric switch somewhere that is stuck. Can someone tell me where it is and/or how to troubleshoot it? Also, while the tray was out I fired up the generator. I had power to the outlets but none of the AC's would work. Breakers were all on. Anyone have any idea what is happening? They all worked ok when I tested them when purchasing the coach a few months ago. Finally, what is a good source for all the radiator hoses on the Perkins 12.5? Mine are all original and could stand replacing. Thanks. Kerry 82 FC 35 Denver |

David, i get the messages to my email account and your message caught my
attention. Check with your auto parts supplier/Store for the hoses. I replaced mine in the last year or so and it is a 1982 Perkins. What model is your coach? John John B. Hi Kerry,
It may sound elementary, but the breakers are deceiving...flip the breakers to "off", then to "on" again. When tripped, it's kind of hard to tell visually if they are tripped. Also, are your overhead toggle switches turned to the "on" position (on my PT they are overhead and on the left side of the driver's head...one toggle switch for each roof air/floor level 110V heater). These switches control the 110V AC heaters located down near the floor, and the 110V AC roof air conditioners. Make sure only the roof air or floor heaters are turned on, not both at the same time. If the roof airs still don't work (toggle switch "on", selector switch on the roof air set to "cool", shore/gen switch sen to GEN), see if the 110V heaters turn on...if they do, than will narrow down your troubleshooting to the roof airs. Like with most system issues with BB, it's usually something simple. Good luck, Kevin McKeown Yorba Linda, CA 86 38PT [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] |

Independent...each is their own animal, the only thing in common is that
they obtain 110V AC from the same circuit, and are controlled via the toggle switches (forgive me if your coach does not have the toggle switches...I think most do). Only the heaters have thermostats. Kevin Mc YL CA 86 38PT [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] |

It's an 82 FC. I'll check with NAPA. However, when I purchased the
oil and fuel filters from NAPA based on the part numbers in the Bluebox, they were incorrect, so I was hoping to find a Kohler/Perkins expert. Kerry --- In WanderlodgeForum@yahoogroups.com, "John B. My unit is a 1982 PT40 with the Genset in the front where your engine is. A
good number of my filters are NAPA brand and procured in Trinity, Texas. My major mechanic's parents had a BlueBird and he evidently knew what part numbers would work with my unit. However, the hoses for the Perkins I bought myself and I took them off and let the parts man match the hoses. My hoses were a "B" to remove and almost as difficult to replace but it did and I have been glad I went to the trouble to change them out. If I remember correctly, I had to have the radiator repaired about that time as well. By-the-way. my unit has a household type 50amp breaker panel up under the floor as well as breakers on the Genset. Then there are breakers in other places as well. Being an owner of a Motorhome (BlueBird) is more than a Great adventure, it's an education. Welcome to the group. Think I've got the slide tray issue solved. I was either given wrong
instructions by the previous owner or I misunderstood them. I thought you could slide it using either the key switch on the outer slide panel or the switch beside step. Turns out I have to turn the key on the slide panel 'on', leave it on, then use the switch by the step. Once I figured this out, it wasn't pushing the tray out constantly anymore. Still no AC with the generator. No shore power handy so I can't check them that way. Act as if they are getting no power at all. Seems like a breaker or GFI but I can't find any tripped anywhere. Is there any connection between the furnace thermostats and the AC or are the AC units independent of any thermostats?
