Dump on the RUN
Can the air bags be dumped when doing 70MPH?
I have developed from day one a paranoia of accidentally hitting this switch while driving. Similiar, but not exactly like blowing an air bag? Seems like there would be a lock-out to prevent this but haven't found a mention of this in all my reading. Bob Janes 87 FC35 Greenville, SC |

Dump on the RUN
Bob,
They can definitely be dumped anytime that there is sufficient air pressure to operate the switch, as I have accidentally done it myself and after that I made a guard cover to go over the switch, just to prevent it from happening again. Luckily all that happened was I got an instant rough ride, but no damage to the bags, it just comes down on the internal rubber bumper, inside of the bag. I shouldn't have had my hand down by there while driving, but I did and learned from it, I have never learned anything from a mistake that didn't cost me and this one scared the h#@! out of me and it cost me the last two hairs on my head!!.
