My 1988 FC 35 has excellent bright lites but the lows are like candles.
There are lots of Hi Tech replacements avaialble. BUT what is the
correct beam #. This a 4 light rectanglar system. Something like a 6054
or?? All mine have on them is "2A1" Approx. 4 1/4 by 6.5

You may want to consider the headlight relay modification in
the 'Files' section, I did this on my 82 FC and it was like night and
day.

Bruce,
I upgraded my headlight system. What a difference! As Scott suggests you
may want to do the same. I can provide you with a detail set of
instructions, part numbers, etc. Send me a private email, or respond
this email, so I have your email address and I'll send you a copy of
what I have. Before the upgrade the low beams were basically useless as
far as seeing the road.

Curt would this apply to my rig (94). I think my low beams could use some
improvement. My high beams are great.

Rob, Curt built a relay setup for the tail lights on my 94pt that
made a huge difference in the rear. One thing he found was the pin
connectors that plug into the Volvo lights are easy to mix up and
infact were mixed up on my bus. When Curt fixed the mixup prior to
the new relays in the rear, the headlights got brighter. The mixup
also caused all the lights to dim when the turnsignal and brakes were
used at the same time. . Bob Gradowski pointed out that the connector
for the wire loom at the lift door gets loose and disconnects also.

Hi Greg, ya I know Curt has a few tricks up his sleeve. One of these days
I'm going to sneak down south into his neck of the woods and ambush him with
some Modello Especial (sp). Did I say 'ambush'? I meant bribe. Ya bribe,
that's the right word
