Water leak repair suggestions?

We're off to points east later this week. Today was the first chance
I had to test the water systems since I bought the bird. I've got a
leak in the hot water pipe for ths shower down low near the floor
behind the shower enclosure. A terrible place to work. Any
suggestions on how to deal with it? I'm thinking replace the whole
pipe with a piece of flexible pvc by disconnecting the existing copper
at the drain fitting and shower ends. This would also mean that the
pipe warming wires would no longer encircle this pipe. Any other
suggestions? This section of the coach seems poorly engineered for
maintenance.
