Aluminum Cleaner/polish

Rob:
Yes, I use Semichrome on all bright metal, chrome, aluminum , copper lines in
the LP bay, to clean and/or polish as necessary. I've never really checked but
believe my awning covers are anodized. They and the side moldings are in near
perfect shape so I try to keep them that way. I do not use anything that would
attack the finish.

Years ago I was CFO of a company that anodized heat sinks for Bose and other
electronic companies. I'm certain Jeff Miller is correct in saying some shiny
parts are anodized on the coaches. I just cannot remember our electro-chemical
anodizing process producing shiny metal. It looked more like the grill on the
front of my 1990. Perhaps Jeff can help us here. Now that I'm interested again
I'll do some testing on my bus and get back to you. I'll be at the bus next
weekend.

On my 1985 PT 40 the side mouldings are anodized as are the covers
for the awnings. They are in perfect shape and require just a light
wax and buffing to keep them that way.

I polish the insides surfaces of the slash cut exhaust pipes on the
bike! GI've got to admit Leroy, I have *never* contemplated
polishing the copper lines in the LP bay. Now I *know* for sure that

Mike:
I really don't have much time. I work, am rearing 2 grandchildren and ride in
the bus as much as possible. However. I have a planned maintenance (cosmetic
and physical) schedule that I follow. It took me a while to get my bus up to my
standard. I do cosmetic work in a planned monthly sequence. I even wax the
inside of all the bay doors. Example: I polish my wheels every two months
whether they need it or not. That way they are always shiny. I takes me about
one hour for 6 wheels.
I wax the bus every 2 months using Turtle wax 2000 now F21. It takes me about 4
hours. The bus is always outside and is always shiny.

I do cycle inspections of power centers and hoses looking for issues that may
leave me walking. Doesn't take that much time. I guess I get that from my
aircraft days. So far, it has worked for me ----Knock on wood.

I am the perfect definition of anal when it comes to our vehicles. I absolutely
hate it when it rains on the bus. I need to move to Death Valley. LOL.LOL>lol

can be left natural color, or dyed.

I've never really checked but believe my awning covers are anodized.
They and the side moldings are in near perfect shape so I try to keep
them that way. I do not use anything that would attack the finish.
