WHERE TO GO WITH EXTREMELY OT MESSAGES
I'm sure that Ernie and the rest of his helpers will want to try to
keep this forum as much of a technical help forum as possible, with some moderate deviations from time to tome. If you feel the need to go off topic to the extreme, gripe and moan about something, or you just like to joke around and have some fun without offending anybody, we would like to invite you over to, what has been called "A CAMPFIRE BS SESSION". We are all Wanderlodge owners, or want to be owners and we definitely have a good time on the Wanderlodge_all forum, so please come check us out at; http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/Wanderlodge_all/ "WARNING" We do get very colorful in our topics and our language can be harsh at times, so we may not be the forum for you, but we will let you be the judge of that after you get there and if you decide to unsubscribe after viewing the forum, we won't be offended. Please come join in the fun times at Wanderlodge_all. OH, I am so GLAD that you posted this invitation to the Wanderlodge_all Forum. You forgot to mention that a membership application has to be approved. I was denied membership in that Forum. But considering your warning, maybe it is just as well. hope that you will continue to participate in this Forum. I enjoy your photos. WHERE TO GO WITH EXTREMELY OT MESSAGES
Hi Liz,
I perhaps need to explain why you were denied, I thought that it was explained to you already. One of the other owners denied your membership application, because he knew from your objection to some of the language that had been used by some people on the old forum offended you at times, so he just wanted to protect you from it. We can all independently accept or deny membership to the forum. I on the other hand feel that since we send out a thank you and warning email for joining and a description and a warning is clearly posted on our homepage as to what we are all about, then it should be up to each individual to make the decision whether to stick around, or unsubscribe, we are all adults. We started the Wanderlodge_all forum after some people on the old forum extremely objected to our joking around on it and taking liberty making OFF TOPIC remarks on some of the topics and now believe it or not, some of those same individuals are members of our forum and freely contribute, in my opinion, some of our best material. I want you to understand, that not all of our topics and postings are not of the foul language type, but it can get that way and some of the opinions of some of the individuals can be very blunt at times, but that is what we are there for, so that you won't have to post it on this forum. Overall and foremost we just want a place to have a good time and we definitely have accomplished that. On the topic of membership in the forum has to be approved, by one of the owners (there are five of us) we originally did that to help prevent some of the people from creating more problems in the beginning, as we were complaining quite a bit back then, about the same thing that has just happened in the past couple of days, with the split up between Ernie and Bruce and some of our members no doubt have the feeling of I TOLD YOU SO, now that it has come to a head. You are also asked on the aplication, to tell us alittle about yourself and why you want to join. The important thing right now, is for us to all work together in having good FREE forums, with a variety of places to go for everybody in the Wanderlodge family. Our membership list is not viewable by the general membership and only by the owners, so if you wanted to just LURK in the background (sort of like receiving it in a plain brown wrapper topics are not all that bad, but then again I just retired after spending 32 years in the trucking industry. I myself belong to all of the Wanderlodge Forums, as I need all of the help that I can get and I will continue to support and contribute to all of them in the future, but I am partial to the Wanderlodge_all forum, I guess because I have a warped mind and sense of humor. I appreciate your honesty and kindness. I am SPEECHLESS however to know that someone feels that I must be PROTECTED from being exposed to "salty" language. Since my participation is neither desired nor welcome on the Wanderlodge_all forum, I will just have to learn to live without it.
