wow! never new BB made that bird!!! hold onto to that one Mike!
We are finished here in Texas and leave for VEGAS today.....highway 10
to Tucson and then North a bit, 93 etc. to Vegas....... Wedding was
great!!!
80FC31 running fine......I put some shaeffer additive in today as
recommended by LSB club and CLYDE at Seguin Diesel..... let see if it
boosts my 8.7 I averaged the last 1000 miles...heck..with only 31 feet
and two 4 inch air inlets, I am looking for 10mpg!! stay tuned!!

Now I remember why I graduated from The University of Texas at Austin
36 years ago..great people in Texas!!!

Mike: Thanks for the rewarding comments about my stainless work. My
90 year old mother taught me that hard work brings rewards. She
forgot to say it could be physically demanding. There is a general
description of the installation at vintagebirds.com----fixes---. The
metal is very difficult to fabricate. It is 20 guage number 8
polished stainless. It was attached with Weldwood contact cement and
NP-1 caulk. The tail light retro are LED and the reverse lights are
hologen operated through relays. Those halogens will light up the
neighborhood. I would be happy to help anyone that wants to install
stainless on there coach. Once you start you cannot you cannot
quit. I have approximately 160 man hours in the job and about
$2500.00 in materials. Thanks again.

Woody, Wow, I like the classic looks. the color reminds me of the '69
chevell Blue. It looks like nice pinstripe at color blends. I feared a
creative fleetwood'esque design when you asked for ideas.

week's shot of Gregg Kizer's mobile "ham" Shack would have generated
some postings from the numerous ham operators on the forum....
Maybe no one looks at Bird of the Week any more?

shot of your Bird in action, with supporting descriptive details. We

Well, I look at the "bird of the week" and usually get a kick out of
it. Indeed, I'm amazed that someone had the guts to take a PT40 onto
the sand at Pismo Beach... (I don't think AAA makes "sand" calls....)

Pete, I pulled the toys 300 miles and the park ranger said I could
not unload in the street. So I got lucky and drove 4 miles on an
outgoing tide beach. I passed 8 to 10 stuck SOB's who later defined
me as such when I never spunn a wheel. As I was unloading on the
beach the Park patol said I could not park in the tide path and
requested I move to the soft beach sand or he will be back to give me
a $35.00 ticket. I nodded my head in agreement, reached for my
wallet and asked him to write the ticket now.

We were one day early for our Reserved stay at Pismo dunes RV Park
and even in Sept mid week the park was full. the attendent suggested
we spend the night at Wallmart. Tim said "do you see what we are
driving, is there a Nordstrom close by" . Walmart Pismo has "no
overnight camping" signs, stayed there anyway.

For $35 you'd think they'd have a hook up....

Not surprised about the crowd at Pismo Dunes RV park ... the dirty
secret of the California coast is that the best weather is in the
fall... of course, that far south, the weather in the summer isn't
all that bad, either. (My wife grew up in San Luis Obispo, so we're
looking forward to the Southwest Rally in a couple of weeks.)

Just a quick FYI.
If you really do need a tow out of the sand, you are most likley
not covered under your roadside assistance. Stuck in the sand is
considered an 'off road' situation.
