Storage compartment locks

Has anyone found a supplier for the lock mechanisms for the stroage
compartments on earlier (78) birds? I picked one up at a hardware
store and after cutting the cam and grinding it so it would allow the
latch to close, I found that the screw that holds the cam on hits the
door and prevents the handle from closing all the way. So I need to
find a mechanism that will fit. Anyone ever found one?
