Annoying Warning Buzzer

Annoying Warning Buzzer
We're on our way to the Southwest rally in Buellton. Today we drove down to
Morro Bay.
Most of the way it was pretty uneventful -- toad tracking well (first time on
the road with
it) and the SMI breaking system seems ok, but a little sensitive (I've adjusted
it to come on
much less frequently.)

However, about 60 miles north of Morro Bay, a warning buzzer came on -- but no
warning
light.

We stopped and checked everything. Oil pressure OK, no water in fuel, air is up,
temperatures are all OK. NO WARNING LIGHTS are on. Buzzer keeps right on
buzzing...

Nothing I checked or changed had any effect on the buzzer (short of taking a
hammer to it
-- which I was seriously considering if I could get to it).

I've heard this same buzzer each time I start up ... a couple of buzzers sound
until the air
is "up" (and several warning lights cycle at start up) then all the lights go
out ... and now
this one buzzer remains. Thank God it goes off when the ignition is cut...

Any ideas? (I'll be asking for help at Buellton!!)

Annoying Warning Buzzer
Make sure your jacks are all in the travel position. If one has
dropped a little as you go down the road, the sensor may go on and
off.

Annoying Warning Buzzer
If you have a wire schematic for your bus you could disable each
warning buzzer relay until that one goes out then you will know what
it buzzes for. I wonder if it goes off if you disconnect the toad
electrical and SMI system????

Just a thought, you are on your way to the Southwest Rally and a
mysterious warning buzzer is going off!!!!!That coach has some major
abilities

Annoying Warning Buzzer
Indeed, I'm becomming more and more impressed with the abilities of this coach
as I gain
experience with it.

Tried unhooking the SMI (It plugs into the cigarette lighter) -- not it.

I've looked over the wiring diagram trying to figure out which fuse and/or relay
is involved.
I'll try pulling fuses/relays this morning before I leave Moro Bay. (It's less
than 2 hours to
Buellton).

The buzzers listed include
- Stop Engine Buzzer (fuse also covers Tran Temp/Step Lgt)
- Low Air Buzzer (but that fuse also includes "Upr Dash Ignition" and "Quick
Start"

At this point, I'm pretty sure that it's the Stop Engine Buzzer -- but like I
said, there's no
warning lights and all the gauges read in the normal range. At the time the
buzzer came
on, oil pressure was at the low end of the normal range, reading about 40 psi.
Later on,
the oil pressure was reading a more typical 60-70 psi -- yet the buzzer
continued to
sound. (There is adequate oil in the engine.)

Annoying Warning Buzzer
A couple of thoughts come to mind:

With key switch on, engine not running, press and hold the check engine
switch and count the flashing lights, this will be the DDEC codes. There
will be two codes displayed, low water level and low oil because the engine
is not running, anything other than that might well give you a clue.

The jacks have all ready been mentioned, this will cause a buzzer.

On the air side, just a stab, do you have the bulk oil fill system? is it
turned on? if left on this will cause a buzzer as well.
