winterizer pt40

Never had to winterizer the coach. but this year we got 200 mile from
home and the engine stop. Had it towed home. Must winterizer living
in upper indiana. need to know how to get the antifreeze into the hot
and cold lines? also what about the water heater?

You can put a bypass on your hot water that after you drain it you can shut
it off & bypass the water heater with the pink stuff. I use about 3 gallons
that way

Joe,
I purchased a T connector with a valve designed to switch the intake
of the water pump so I could pump pink stuff (potable antifreze) into
the entire system. That will be quite a bit since your hot water
heater holds 10 or 12 gallons, not to mention the rest of the system.
The other solution is to open all the drain valves and let it drain
completely, then connect air pressure to the street inlet and blow out
all the pipes. Disconnect the toilet line and drain that, disconnect
the pump and drain that, and empty any other systems like the ice
maker and any water filers or instant hot water units.

I'm sure others will have additional advise.

I did forget to mention that it has been said that heating the pink
stuff creates a very nasty smell that takes a while to clean out. So
if your hot water heater uses engine water to heat it,it would be
wise to empty it and install a bypass so you can fill the rest of
the system.
