Microwave
Hi Fellows,
I am looking at replacing my Sharp Microwave the Sharp replacement that fits the opening best looks to be the R-930AK. I have read where folks are having some problems with the R-930. Have any of you used this model and have you had any problems. Also have you used other brand units to replace the Sharp. Thanks to all. Howard Truitt Camilla, Ga. I am looking for a replacement also and was informed that the table top
microwave/convection ovens should not be enclosed in a cabinet. They require air space for heat dissipation. The built-in microwaves have a fan and shroud to remove the heat. I recall one member mentioning that they vented the heat with a fan thru the cooktop heat vent. Unfortunately all the built-in microwave/convection ovens I have found are $700+. Is it hard to gut a microwave and just refit the old unit with new
gismo's????? I had that done at a shade tree appliance shop for $75.00 but don't know what was done other than it worked after the repair. I replaced my original Sharp with the 930 a month or two ago. Easy
installation. Used the correct install kit from Sharp but after I received it I believe I could have used the original install kit. So far it works great and looks good. I think that the best price I found was thru beveragefactory.com. Hope this helps. Mike McMahan 1989 PT40 --- In WanderlodgeForum@yahoogroups.com, "Howard O. I replaced mine with a GE JES1290 micro/conv. combo...a little
smaller..ended up with a 2 in. gap on three sides. Finally air gets to circulate out instead on being forced into the hall closet. Cost was $257.00 at Lowes. Wife likes it so I am happy. Now did you pay for the fuel? He stole that too, dern!
Interesting? Suppose a person fills up his tank, he goes to the register to pay and someone steals his vehicle, who owes for the stolen fuel? Maybe as soon as the nozzle starts flowing fuel in you tank, you are presumed to pay for it regardless?? Well!, doggies!! I hope you got your truck back undamaged, full of fuel too. bob janes, greenville, sc --- In WanderlodgeForum@yahoogroups.com, "Bob Lawrence" > > I replaced mine with a GE JES1290 micro/conv. combo...a little > smaller..ended up with a 2 in. gap on three sides. > Finally air gets to circulate out instead on being forced into the hall > closet. > Cost was $257.00 at Lowes. > Wife likes it so I am happy. > Bob Lawrence > 84 PT36 > Tacoma, Wa.
