generator weirdness

I cannot thank you enough for taking time for posting the front
relay pictures. Mine is connected correctly, but I just have one
small lead where you have two. Maybe that is not a problem, I don't
know. I hope you have a great New Years Day. It is cold this morning
(in the 20s) but I expect to do some work this afternoon. Thanks
again.

There is a new folder in the "Files" section named "PT Gen Charge
Schematic" which contains three PDF files. I scanned the charging
circuit schematic into three overlapping pieces, which you should be
able to print and splice together. Hopefully this will give you more
information to solve your puzzle.

The schematic in my "Blue Box" was the same as that in the big set I
ordered from BB.

Best I can tell from the schematic, there should be two small-gauge
control leads on the forward relay: one coming from the dash "Aux
Batt" switch and the other going to the rear relay. Any chance
something is hiding from your view or a connector fell off? Old
crimp-on connectors and dirty contacts are the cause of many problems.

I'm just over the border in TX, down I35 from you. We had lots of
rain and wind, but the deadly tornadoes were southwest of Ft. Worth.
Lows are around 30--a bit cool to work outside when not necessary.
I'm performing inside upgrades. ;-)

If you have occassion to come through Tulsa I can give you 50 amps
and lots of good coffee(I won't put you to work). You are right
about the cold. I was outside this afternoon and it got cold quick
when the sun started going down. Tom sent some drawings that I have
pieced together. I plan to work on her some more late morning. I
don't know the deal on that one lead. I can see from the drawing
there should be two. And, the aux switch doesn't work now even
though it did before. I would almost swear I only took one lead of
the old relay and can't see another one loose. It will all work out
sooner or later. Thanks again.
