Pro-Link Scan tool and DDEC I/II cartridge for 8V92 diesel

To all on the forum:

After our futile and expensive stop at the diesel doctor in Eau Claire,
WI , we decided to look for the tools to diagnose the problems with our
DDEC I system. After a lengthy search of the internet I found both the
scan tool and the DDEC cartridge for under $1100 dollars or the cost of
one visit to the diesel doctors and since Detroit Diesel no longer has
archival information on this system, I think this is the best approach.

Hey Ken,
If you just need to read the trouble codes I'm thinking you can buy a
simple tool from DD or possibly make your own. If you need to do any
thing else you will need the tools you mentioned. Sometimes you see
those on EBay. Not a great savings there though.
