Carpet replacement question

Todd-the laminate floors work well. That stuff doesn't scratch like my real wood
floor in my coach. I am parked on dirt and the little sand pebbles get in my
shoes- going to put a rug over my wood till I leave here.

What would you recommend for hard floors on a 78FC33?
I plan on switching from carpet to hard floors once the carpet gets bad.
The floor will need to stand up to the abuse our dogs put to it while
camping & boating ;-)

You might check this product out also, it's called Amtico.
(http://www.amtico.com) You can find a local retailer at this web site. It's
some newer stuff that looks very much like the real thing. They
produce both wood and tile/marble imitation materials. I'm getting
ready to redo my floors and i'm going to put one of the marble
products in mine.

Todd, when Ernie replaced all of our flooring last year, we used a
Mannington product. 25 year warranty. Really tough against dirt &
small pebbles as Ernie says. Doesn't show scratches. Lots of color &
pattern choices. Would use it again.

excessive wear, making the replacement necessary. I have that
condition now, where the carpet terminates at the tile floor in the
galley. The carpet has frayed badly there.

Wow Ron. I've seen that in the house but not in a BB WL. But, my point was
that BB put an excellent grade of carpet in these coaches. On our last coach,
'81FC31'SB it was kind of a orangeish redish and we always wanted to change it
but didn't. Someone before me had painted it with the standard BB
blue-silver-dark gray and the carpet didn't match. Oh well. The new owner
wasn't bothered and must be happy since I've never heard from him.

Oh, It's good carpet, but I think the carpet work into the metal
edging was the problem. The balance of the carpet is fine.

On our last coach, '81FC31'SB it was kind of a orangeish redish and we
always wanted to change it but didn't. Someone before me had painted
it with the standard BB blue-silver-dark gray and the carpet didn't
match. Oh well. The new owner wasn't bothered and must be happy
since I've never heard from him.

Having had a recent leak to my toilet (fresh water side thankfully),
this weekend I pulled the toilet out for repairs and in doing so
removed the carpet to find the floor covered with linoleum. A few
months ago I pulled the carpet off the face of my entry steps to find
stainless steel. I'll not replace the carpet in these areas. I'm one
that doesn't like the color of our carpet but it is of such good
quality and in such great shape I can't bring myself to remove the
rest of it yet, but then it's only 22 years old!

I'll go with not only excessive wear, but it gets to the point where
the dirt than can't be extracted during cleaning (but sure can get
wet) added to the slow decomposition of the carpet and pad
materials, you just can't get a fresh clean smelling coach anymore.
