Question about the 74 FC.

Did your 74 FC 34 come with a 6v53 or is that a retrofit? How does it perform
compared
to a 3208?

Hi Kerry,

It was a retro fit. Nice installation. Turbo just clears the dog
house. Can't compare to the 3208 but it cruises real nice at 62-64 &
pulls the mountain passes pretty good too. Gets around 7 mpg. It also
has a 15kw Kubota Diesel generator in it to run 3 roof airs. You
thinking about changing out your 3208? I could shoot some pics for you
if you're thinking the 6V53 might work. Think this one is in the 300-320
hp range as I remember.

No plans to convert, just curious. At one time I was considering an Avco into
which
someone had installed a 4-53 and a manual transmission. He was very happy with
it. If
you ever take pictures, I'd like to see them.
