LED alarm clock 1204 (P/N 10340R2)

I'm looking for an LED alarm clock for the bedroom in my Bird. (P/N
10340R2) It was original equipment in my 84FC35. Anyone know where I
can get a replacement or get this one repaired?

That is the newer model and it goes for about $140.00. I don't have
a problem with the price. But I don't know if it will fit? Doug at
PMMI told me it wasn't worth repairing the old one due to overheating
issues and parts availability.

I'm hoping someone who has replaced the old with the new will chime
in and tell me if the new model will fit. I know some cutting will
be required provided there is enough room.

Don't throw away the old one! Any good electronics guy should be
able to resurrect it for you. Go down to Fry's and hang out in the
electrical components isle. Look for geeky guys and ask if they
will fix it for you for $20 / case of beer and parts. :-) Seriously.

Thanks Thomas. I had planned on at least attempting to get it
rebuilt. According to Doug at PMMI, it could (probably) be repaired
but there could be issues with overheating? I'm gonna give a try
anyway. In the meantime maybe someone will come up with a
replacement? Thanks for the input.
