Help with light fixtures
Keith,
There is a difference in size between what is original to my 79 and what Bluebird parts offers. You need to measure yours and check with Earl in BB parts Ga. to see if it suits your needs. The original Mfg. of my lights RGM no longer offers repair. They are still in business but in other menu categories. BB has gone to another Mfg. and the size is smaller in length. I am sure you will get other suggestions as this subject has been offered before. Matthew 79fc35 So Cal ************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com. Help with light fixtures
Generally the failure item in the florescent lighting systems, in Blue
Birds, is the ballasts. New ballasts are available from Stephen Birtles who is usually on line at least every day. The new ballasts are relatively easy to replace and allow you to maintain the existing fixture. Steve Anderson 79FC35 Poulsbo, Wa. Stephen Birtles has the answer and possible the parts you need. He'll
probably reply to your email soon. On 10/05/07, Keith Strehle > > I replaced all the fluorescent light bulbs in my 84FC. I have two that > don't work. Help with light fixtures
While we're on the topic of the fluorescent lighting, has anyone
replaced theirs with LEDs or other lights with a lower power consumption? I'm amazed at the draw of these lights. I can easily hit 30 amps of pull off my batteries just by turning a bunch of them on, especially the kitchen lights (9 bulbs total) and a few others - they add up fast. Several of my bulbs are shot and several others are mixed color temperatures, so I'd like to replace a bunch of 'em, but before I do I'd be really interested in replacing the entire fixtures and/or the bulbs & ballasts with a lower draw option (without reducing available light substantially, if at all). We do a lot of boondocking, I love to camp "wherever" rather than deal with campgrounds and hookups, etc, so conserving energy is high on my priority list. -Ryan '86 PT-40 8V92 Tri-Cities, WA On 5/10/07, ebirder2000@... > > Generally the failure item in the florescent lighting systems, in Blue > Birds, is the ballasts.
