Keith,

I believe our clock is mahogany. I just removed it to make patterns and
the wood is kinda reddish. Maybe it's not the original thing. According
to Bluebird, the clock wood is walnut and 2" thick. Our clock is 1-5/8"
thick.

Replaced the battery and the clock is running.

I'll get the patterns in the mail. Will send some pictures to you as well.

Thanks for the info Curt, I owe you. The only BB clocks I've seen
appeared to be walnut. But who knows? I've considered all sort of
ideas like cutting one out of teflon or nylon? How about a leather
bound clock? Thinking outside the box?

Yeah, "2 inch" thick wood would be about 1-5/8". So that sounds right
to me. I'll measure mine tonight to be sure, have to change the
batteries too, but it's probably the same. Mine is definitely walnut
and original.

I'll see if I can trace the clock and convert it to PDF so we can put
it online for anyone who wants to make one. No promises, but I'll try.

Ryan,
To remove our clock...one 3/8" cap nut/screw. Removed the screw. Clock
was stuck to the vinyl. I used string between the vinyl and clock to get
it loose.

And Jim, I said the same thing when I sold my 1968 426 Hemi bench seat,
automatic, radio delete Roadrunner in 1995 for $50,000, the same one that sold
at Barrett-Jackson in 2005 for $225,000. Strange things happen.
